Welcome to Troop 23
Troop 23 was established in 1984. In the years since then, Troop 23 is proud to have turned out 72 Eagle Scouts, the first one obtaining the Eagle rank in 1988. The Eagle Scout rank is the highest and most honored achievement a youth can earn in Boy Scouts.
Troop 23 doesn't forget the "outing in Scouting." The troop goes camping on an almost monthly basis. The troop attends summer camp annually at Tomahawk Scout Reservation every mid-July. Cold weather doesn't stop the boys scouts from camping either. Troop 23 plans campouts year-round. Winter camping sometimes involves the use of improvised shelters, spending the nights outside, with the possibility of earning the "Zero Hero" badge.
Troop 23 is chartered by St. Philips Lutheran Church, where the troop holds its meetings on most Mondays throughout the year. Exceptions to that might be an occasional holiday or when our chartering organization needs the use of our meeting space.
